William T. Fowler, Sr.

William T. Fowler Sr., 88, of Watsontown, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

Born July 10, 1936 in Montgomery, he was a son of the late Elwood and Martha (Cameron) Fowler.  On August 31, 1956 he married the former Ella Grace Spangler, and together they celebrated 61 years of marriage until her passing on November 20, 2017.

He was a graduate of Montgomery High School.  William worked at Montgomery Mills for 14 years and later worked at West Company for 9 years.  He was a member of the Lutheran Faith.

William enjoyed fishing at the lake, and taking his children on picnics.  After retirement he enjoyed going with his family down to the local creek and washing their car.

He was a devoted father, grandfather, and husband; being a caregiver for his wife up until her death.  Also, he journalized movie stars and many family memories.

William is survived by his son: William T. Fowler Jr, of Florida; four daughters: Cindy L. Harmon and her husband James, of Watsontown, Doreen K. Porter, of Morganfield, KY, Joyce A. Shadle and her fiancee Ted Stout, of Williamsport, and Brenda L. Fowler and her fiancee Eddy Miranda, of Florida; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one brother: Rodney Fowler and his wife Linda, of McEwensville.

There will be a graveside service held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 23, at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery, with Rev. Erwin C. Roux, Zion Lutheran Church, Turbotville, officiating.
