William A. Hoffman, born February 24, 1935 died peacefully at his home on Friday, April 3, 2026.

Born on the Hoffman family homestead, he was a son of the late Clifford and Helen (DeWald) Hoffman.  He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Edward and C. Dale Hoffman.

He is survived by his daughter: Debi Hoffman-Dunkle; son: William A. Hoffman II and his wife Andraya; step-son: Terry Warren and his wife Gayle; three grandsons: Randy Wertman, Austin and Wyatt Hoffman; two great-granddaughters: Lilly and Arizona Wertman; and a sister: Shirley Beaver and her husband Dean.

Bill was a lifelong member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Turbotville, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #171 in Milton, and the Montgomery American Legion Post 251.

He was a 1953 graduate of Northmont High School in Turbotville.  In 1954 he enlisted in the US Army Reserves and was honorably discharged in 1955, later he joined the volunteer draft serving honorably during the Korean Conflict in the US Army until his discharge in 1962.

Bill retired after 37 years of service from Youngs Industry Inc. in Muncy.  He has been very active in his family's farm, passionately running the farm since 1985.  Bill decided at 70 years old to build and operate Hoffman Poultry Barns, always making sure everything was in top shape and achieving accolades for his dedication to the poultry farming industry.

Bill "Chicken Man" will always be remembered as a frequent flyer and diner at the Old Farmers Table, where he enjoyed joking and talking to his group of dedicated friends.  It was a daily ritual for Bill to not miss a conversation, meal, or laugh.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 AM on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM.  Burial with full military honors will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
