Wayne Johns, 90, of Watsontown, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 at WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
Born December 30, 1934 in Coal Twp, Northumberland Co., he was a son of the late Marlin and Margaret (Horn) Johns. On March 19, 1955 he married the former Patricia A. Kozar and together they celebrated 70 wonderful years of marriage.
Wayne was a 1952 graduate of Coal Township High School. He worked for over 30 years and retired from American Home Foods in Milton. After his retirement he enjoyed mowing grass at Turbot Hills/Wynding Brook golf course, where he loved watching the sunrise. Wayne was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ in Milton.
He enjoyed square dancing with his wife, Patricia, and together they were members of the Penn Wheeler Square Dance Club. Wayne enjoyed local history, going camping, and traveling with his wife. Most of all he loved all the time spent with his entire family. Wayne was a man of few words but had a huge loving heart.
In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by two daughters: Deborah Brown and JoAnn Pfleegor and her husband Nevin, all of Milton; three grandchildren: Josh (Heather) Brown, Amy (Andy) Rockey, and Melanie (Bryant) Stewart; four great-grandchildren: Reece Brown, Hunter Neidig, Blake Jones, and Alex Neidig; and one sister: Nancy Weaver and her husband Bob, of Shamokin.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his three brothers: Daniel, Donald, and Marlin "Chew" Johns.
Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Paradise Cemetery, Milton.
