Wayne E. Deeter

Wayne E. Deeter, 72, of rural Watsontown, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.

Born August 28, 1951 in Muncy, he was the son of the late Kenneth Robert Deeter and Cinderella Mae (Knorr) Deeter.  On August 8, 1969 he married the former Ellen L. VanBuskirk, and together they celebrated 54 years of marriage until her passing on April 16, 2024.

He was an avid hunter and mechanic.  Wayne worked at Sensenig Milling, Turbotville until retirement.

Wayne is survived by two sons: Wayne E. Deeter, Jr. and Kenneth R. Deeter, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and four sisters: Patty (Therman) Stiffler, of Hughesville, Nancy (Stanley) Gilman, of Chiefland, FL, Anna Mae VanBuskirk, of Bath, NY, and Peggy (Jimmy) Deeter-Klopp, of Savona, NY.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Richard Deeter; and brother: Roger Deeter.

There will be a private committal service held at Muncy Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to Brooks Funeral Home to help defray expenses.
