Terry Shultz Obituary

Terry G. Shultz, 83, of Watsontown, passed away peacefully, Friday, May 8, 2026 at home with his wife by his side.

Born February 17, 1943 in Danville, he was a son of the late Norman T., Sr. and Helena M. (Brubaker) Noll. On February 19, 1992 he married the former JoAnn A. Stahl and together they have celebrated 34 years of marriage.

Terry was a 1961 graduate of Warrior Run High School. During high school, Terry worked at Acme Super Market, Watsontown. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Air Force and honorably served his country for twenty-three and a half years, retiring in 1987. While serving his country, Terry was stationed overseas in Greenland, Turkey, and Portugal as well as state-side in New York, Virginia, Maine, Florida, and Washington. Master Sargeant Shultz was a veteran of the Vietnam War and other Southeast Asia assignments. He attended Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica, NY, and graduated with a degree in Management in 1992.

M.Sgt. Shultz was a life member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 8206, Turbotville; The American Legion, Post 323, Watsontown; Susquehanna Valley #47 Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans; and the NRA. He was an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his wife, JoAnn of Watsontown, Terry is survived by two sons, Bryan G. Clayton and his wife, Trudy of Muncy, and Gerald D. Tieyan, of New Jersey; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Besides his parents, Terry was predeceased by a son, Dwayne L. Clayton; a grandson: Ryan Clayton; a brother, William P. Shultz; and two sisters, Goldie Boyer and Pat Rearick.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Friendship Baptist Church, 10 Voris Lane, Watsontown, where the funeral will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jason King, officiating. Burial with full military honors at Fort Indiantown Gap will take place at a later date.
