Stephen R. Adcock, 74, of rural Watsontown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at the Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital.
Born August 10, 1949 in Denver, Colorado, he was the son of the late Victor and Dorothy (Hoffman) Adcock. On August 31, 1971, he married to the former Deborah Green, and together they have celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Stephen served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He had a great love of the sea and enjoyed everything nautical. He worked in the food industry most recently as a salesman for Frito-Lay where he retired after 25 years.
He was a former member of Sovereign Grace Church in Colorado, and was a current member at Omega OPC in Williamsport. One of his passions was teaching Sunday School and he taught classes for over 54 years. Stephen served the Lord, and loved the Lord.
In addition to his wife, Deborah, he is survived by his three sons: Joel R. (Cresta) Adcock and their three children, of Portsmouth, VA; Andrew T. (Sonya) Adcock, and their 5 children of Williamsport; and Jonathan D. Adcock, and his 4 children, of Evergreen, CO; and three siblings: David R. Adcock, Mark R. Adcock, and Pamela K. Smith, all of Colorado.
There will be a memorial service held at 5:00 pm on Monday, January 1st, 2024 at Omega OPC, 2570 Lycoming Creek Road, Williamsport. Burial will be held privately at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
