Stanley G. Boler

Stanley Gordon Boler, 78, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 15, 2024 at his home in Muncy, Pennsylvania, surrounded by his wife and daughter after battling cancer for the past four years.

Stanley was born on February 16, 1946 in Bloomington, Indiana, and was the son of the late Ralph Jewel Boler and Leona Maxine (Malicoat) Boler Carter.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Delores M. Boler; and two grandchildren, Colton and Angel Boler.

He met the love of his life, Marsha L. Glasscock in High School and they were married on August 12, 1966 at Pleasant Hill Church.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Aaron (Teresa) of Paragon, IN, Jason (Christine) of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Amanda Huff-Santoyo, of Muncy, PA; seven grandchildren:  Alex and Lilly Huff, triplets- Payton, Alyssa, and Marissa Boler, and Daniela and Joseph Boler Santoyo; and one brother: Gerald (Cathy) Boler, of Spencer, IN.

Stan went on to become a dedicated educator obtaining a BS from Indiana State University in 1969, a MA from Ball State University in 1972, and an IUPUI for advanced learning and continuous education.  He began his teaching career at IU Lab School, 18 years at Knightstown Jr-Sr High School where he was certified to teach K-12, Drivers Education, Distributive Education and Computer Science.  In 1987 he became an Associate professor at Pennsylvania College of Technology where he taught Computer and Electronic Technology as a Cisco Certified Instructor.  All of his students were very important to him and always his priority.  He had numerous hobbies, including Amateur Radio (AB3BL) and eccentric collecting.

Funeral arrangements and transportation were provided by Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, Turbotville.  There will be a viewing held from 11 to 1 PM on Monday, December 23rd, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 N. Montgomery St., Spencer, IN, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Spencer, IN.
