Shirley A. Poust, 84, of Watsontown, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at her home.
Born August 10, 1939 in Corning, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lincoln B. “Jay” LeBarron and Hazel Marie (Harrison) Hall. On May 9, 1959 she married Clark A. Poust and they shared 63 years of marriage until his death November 13, 2022.
She was a homemaker all her married life and enjoyed playing in a Bocce Ball league in Hughesville. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with everyone's children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are five children: a son, James E. Poust and his wife Marge, of Muncy; four daughters: Coreen K. LeVan and her husband Michael, of Muncy; Lucinda K. Yoder, of Montgomery; Teresa L. Nogle, of Watsontown; and Heather M. Sartwell and her husband Daniel, of Watsontown; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a brother: Sidney LeBarron of Muncy and a sister, Sonja G. Harper of Montgomery.
Preceding her in death besides her husband and parents was a brother, Earl LeBarron.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11:00 AM on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Svc, PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville where the funeral service will be held at 11:00, with Pastor Ricky Phillips, officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
