Scott D. Barrett, 59, of Turbotville, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Hershey Medical Center.
Born June 15, 1962 in Muncy, he was the son of the late Homer James and Donna Jean (Knopp) Barrett. On August 8, 2004 he married the former Debra A. Lyons and they have celebrated 17 years of marriage.
Scott retired from the Allenwood Federal Correction Facility in 2019 where he had worked for 21 years. He also served honorably in the Army National Guard for many years.
He was a member of the American Legion in Muncy. He enjoyed racing late models on dirt tracks, playing bass guitar in several local bands, and riding his motorcycle.
Surviving besides his wife, Debra Barrett are a son, George Barrett in Massachusetts and a daughter, Angel Elwell of Mechanicsburg; two grandchildren: Julia and Brady Elwell; and a brother, James Barrett and his wife Kitten of Williamsport and a half-brother, Jeff Barrett.
Preceding him in death besides his parents was his step-father, Hiram "Jim" Weimer.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11:00 AM Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Svc, PC, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Marjorie B. Fisk of Fairview Church of the Nazarene will be officiating and burial will follow in White Hall Cemetery.
