Ruth Anna Smith – Passed away, May 26, 2020 at Schoelkopff HealthCare Facility, Niagara Falls, NY at the age of 91. Ruthie was born April 28, 1929 in Mifflinburg, PA to Archie Dow Smith and Rachel Oakes, the third of five daughters. She graduated from Niagara Fall High School, Niagara Falls, NY.

Ruthie graduated from Deaconess Nursing School, working as an RN at Deaconess Hospital until its closure. Ruthie continued and retired from Buffalo General Hospital. Active member of her class reunion and member of Buffalo General Retiree Committee.

Ruthie was an active member of Payne Avenue Christian Church. Ruthie loved to travel, camp and crochet. She was dedicated to her family and her nieces and nephews.

Ruthie is survived by her sister, Grace Scott of Lockport, NY. She is preceded in death by her parents Archie and Rachel Smith, her sisters Jean Dolan and Mary Burton, and Dorothy Capatosto.

Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Presbyterian Cemetery, McEwensville, Pennsylvania.
