Robert D. Young

Robert D Young, 82, of Watsontown and formerly of Montgomery, passed away peacefully at Watsontown Nursing Home and Rehabilitation surrounded by his wife of 9 years, Damaris G. (Fonseca) Young, and family.

Born March 26, 1942 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Melvin L. and Hazel E. (Newcomer) Young. He was a 1960 graduate of Montgomery High School and was a former member of Community Baptist Church in Montoursville.

In addition to his wife, Damaris, of Watsontown, he is survived by one brother: Roland Young; two sisters: Sandra Mitstifer and Connie Myers; two sons: Timothy R. and Todd W. Young; four grandchildren: Kerrey, Megan, Danny, and Rebecca Young; five step-children: Damaris, Alexander, Alexis, Eduardo, and Dayana Paz Fonseca; and one sister-in-law: Ana Weaver and her husband Martin.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his four brothers: Charles, Earl, Albert, and Larry Young; and three sisters:  Genevieve Leech, Margaret “Peg” Miller, and Sharon Bennett.

Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
