Robert D. Keister

Robert Dean Keister, age 77, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, in West Palm Beach, Florida.

He was born October 14, 1946, in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, to the late Dean and Dorothy (Walthour) Keister. Robert resided in Turbotville, PA, for 42 years, traveling to Florida during the winter, after he retired he became a full-time resident in 2016 at Palms Estates in Lorida, Florida.

Bob was a teacher for 37 years and an assistant football coach for 35 years at Milton Area High School, where he was also an assistant girls’ softball coach. Bob was attending the First Baptist Church of Lorida.

Robert is survived by his wife – Vicki Clugston Keister of Lorida, FL; children – Dorothy Denise (Deedee) Keister of Watsontown, PA; Robert Scott Keister (Angela) of Slidell, LA; Christopher Michael Keister (Deborah) of Oceanside, CA; Susan Marie Kling (Brad) of Watsontown, PA; and eight grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister – Ruth Drosnes; and grandson – Nolan Ryan Keister.

A celebration of life will be held at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville on Wednesday, April 17th at 2 pm.  Burial will be held privately in Turbotville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the Palms Estates at PO Box 364, Lorida, FL 33857 to be used for the beautification of the park.
