Robert J. "Bob" Fitch

Robert J. "Bob" Fitch, 68, of Milton, passed away Friday, May 22, 2026 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born February 24, 1958 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Fred and Mary (Rhodes) Fitch. He married Janet A. Masser on August 20, 2005 and they have celebrated 20 years of marriage.

He was a 1976 graduate of Westside High School in Scranton and had worked at the Boys and Girls Club of Scranton as an executive director.  He also had worked at Skydyne in Port Jervis, NY, Process Technology in Scott Twp., PA, and had been a borough manager and code enforcement officer in Matamoras, PA.

He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Milton where he was a former secretary and leadership team member.  He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons in South Dakota, and the Wilkes-Barre Shriner's and Irem Temple.

Bob enjoyed photography, military history, lazer engraving, and taking cruises.

Surviving besides his wife is a brother, Fred Fitch of Jarrettsville, MD and seven nieces and nephews: Amanda Friedman, Scott Fitch, Amy Shartzer, Laura Brazzeal, Jay Douglas Fitch, Brandy Aguirre, and Timothy Vasey.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was a brother, James Fitch.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 10 to11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Bethany United Methodist Church, 107 South Front Street, Milton where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Travis Allshouse, Pastor Brian Lucas, and the Rev. Brian D. Vasey officiating.
