Richard E. “Rich” Aikey, 71, of Danville, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at home.
Born July 24, 1952 in Exchange, he was a son of the late Raymond and Irene Aikey. On January 16, 1981 he married the former Bonnie L. Johnston, and together they have celebrated 43 years of marriage.
Rich worked at Muncy Homes for over 20 years, and later retired from Eagle Warehousing.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping; but most of all, he loved time spent with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Bonnie, Rich is survived by a son, Richard Aikey, Jr. and his wife, Diane, of Berwick; three daughters, Renee Stout and her husband, Robert, of Danville, Ronita Barto and her husband, Chad, of Danville, and Linda Aikey, of Forest Hill; 9 Grandchildren; 24 Great-Grandchildren; a brother, Rodney Aikey and his wife, Marge; and two sisters, Roxy Carl, and Rhelda Mangle and her husband, Dennis, all of Mifflinburg.
Rich was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Raymond “Ed” Aikey.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
