Peggy Martin Obituary

Peggy Jo Martin, 50, of Anthony Twp., passed away peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2025 at her home.

Born June 8, 1974 in Ephrata, she was the daughter of Edna A. (Zeiset) Good and the late D. Lamar Good.  On November 16, 1996 she married Zane R. Martin and together celebrated 28 years of marriage.

Peggy was a homemaker her whole life and had great joy in being a teacher for all of her children.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; and enjoyed Monday family night dinners.  Also, she enjoyed gardening and loved her flowers.

She was a member of Shalom Mennonite Church, and enjoyed supporting others in need.

In addition to her mother, Edna Good, and husband, Zane, she is survived by her sons: Drew Martin and his wife Kenna, Josiah “Toby” Hurst and his wife, Crystal, Mitchell Martin, and Slater Martin; daughters:  Matia Stoltzfus and her husband Nate, Tyndee Martin and Lacey Martin; three grandchildren:  Elliott Martin, Addiysn Hurst, and Paisley Stoltzfus; one brother: Scott Good; and two sisters: Sherry Hurst and Lisa Seansing.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Martin.

Friends are invited to call from, 2 to 4PM, 6 to 8PM on Friday, January 31 at East District Mennonite Church, 71 East District Road, Watsontown; the funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday at Maranatha Christian School, 1485 Plotts Road, Watsontown, with Pastor Daniel Weaver, officiating. Burial will follow in Shalom Mennonite Cemetery, 955 Dancehall Road, Milton.
