He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Turbotville for 65 years, a life-member of the American Legion Post in Montgomery, and a life-member of the Moose Lodge in Mifflinburg.  He enjoyed woodworking, especially making furniture for his family, and working on motors with his son's racing cars.  Paul was a member to the Zion Lutheran Church Disaster Relief Team and also loved helping people in need.

Paul and Doris loved dancing and actually met while square dancing.  They also enjoyed spending time at the river.

Surviving besides his wife, Doris LaForme, are two sons:  Harold LaForme and his wife Kathy of Muncy and Edward LaForme and his wife Mary of Watsontown; three grandchildren: Jennifer Myers and her husband Chris, Christopher LaForme and his wife Kari, and Charlee LaForme; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Hayden Myers; three step-grandchildren: Douglas, Christopher, and Brittany Nyman; and three step-great-grandchildren: Benjamin Lechniak, Maxwell and Brynlee Nyman; and two very special girls, Trudy Gearhart and Karen Engleman.
