Paul F. Berger, 90, of McEwensville, passed away peacefully Friday, December 15, 2023 at Watsontown Health and Rehab where he was dearly loved.
Born June 25, 1933 in Allenwood, he was the son of the late Carl A. and Dorothy (Solomon) Berger. On November 26, 1953 he married the former June E. Keefer and they celebrated 64 years of marriage until her death September 25, 2017.
A 1951 graduate of Watsontown High School, he was an electrician having worked for, and retiring from Zimmerman Electric. He learned the electrical trade while in New Jersey and returned to Pennsylvania in the 1980s.
He was an active member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Dewart where he had served on the council and helped with many of their activities. He sang in many choruses over the years while in New Jersey and more locally from Mifflinburg to the Bloomsburg area. He enjoyed hunting earlier in life,and was a man that loved socializing with others. He was a man that never met a stranger.
Surviving is a brother, James A. Berger and his wife Eleanor of Bloomsburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Svc, PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Chaplain Michael Miller from Residential Hospice officiating. Burial will follow in Presbyterian Cemetery, McEwensville.
