Patricia L. (Showers) Zarr

Patricia L. Zarr, 78, of Lewisburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Buffalo Valley Nursing Care Center, Lewisburg, where she had been a resident since 2016.

Born May 9, 1942, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Esther (Kent) Showers.  On June 4, 1967 she married Richard L. Zarr, Sr. and together they celebrated 41 years of marriage until his passing in 2009. 

Patricia was a 1961 graduate of Milton High School, and Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Culinary program.  Earlier in life, she worked at Milton Shoe and later at Country Comfort Assisted Living Center. 

She was a member of Revival Tabernacle, Watsontown. 

Patricia is survived by two brothers, Bill and Charles “Chuck” Showers; a sister, Edna and her husband Dan Shanok, Somerset, NJ; with their children and grandchildren; a step-daughter, Pamela J. Wetzel; and 13 Step-Great-Grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by a brother, Fritz Showers; step-son, Richard L. Zarr, Jr.; and a step-grandson. 

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at a later date.
