Nora M. Black, 98, formerly of Muncy, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Watsontown Health & Rehab Center, where she had been residing.
Born August 31, 1921 in Elimsport, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Ethel (Shaffer) Fornwalt. She was married to Clarence L. Black for 45 years until his passing on August 12, 1986.
Nora was seamstress working at Turbotville Dress Company and out of her home for many years. She was a former member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Turbotville. She loved Fifth Avenue candy bars, and was a very loving and giving person to her family and friends.
She is survived by her two sisters: Carrie Lee Fornwalt, of Hughesville and Jennie Kurtz, of Watsontown; two grandsons: Matthew Black, of Picture Rocks, and Jacob Black, of Oregon; and three great-grandchildren: Nora, Dean and Liam Black.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dean Black.
Family and friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 PM on Monday, May 18th, at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Erwin C. Roux, officiating. Burial will follow in Turbotville Cemetery.
