Mary Lou Foresman, 83, of Lewis Twp., passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024 at her home. She was born February 6, 1941 in Lewisburg, to the late Henry and Margaret “Peg” (Burrows) Benfer.
Mary Lou married Richard “Dick” Foresman on October 19, 1963 and celebrated 57 years of marriage until his passing.
She was a 1959 graduate of Warrior Run High School. Mary Lou worked as a beautician, West Co., Weis Markets in Lewisburg, and at the front desk of the Country Cupboard Inn. Upon her retirement she enjoyed watching and helping out with her grandchildren.
Mary Lou loved to read, crochet, shop and do puzzles. She was a wonderful cook, who never kept a recipe. Home was where she was happiest.
Mary Lou was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was so of proud of all her grandchildren and she was always able to make them laugh. She was quick-witted, irreverent, and funny and provided her family with tons of lasting tales.
She is survived by her children: Julie Bennett and her husband Brian of Muncy; Troy Foresman of Muncy; Amy Welliver and her husband Tim of Turbotville; her beloved grandchildren: Zach Bennett, Skylar Braun, Samantha Foresman, Sydney Foresman, Jack Welliver, Libby Welliver, and Grant Welliver; and great granddaughter: Cecilia Bennett.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Benfer, and sister, Tammie Printzenhoff.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service held at a later date.
