On Monday, April 8, 2024, Marilyn K. Crawford was escorted by a Heavenly Host of Angels to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and to begin her eternal life with him in Heaven.
Born May 27, 1947 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, she was the daughter of the late Marlin and Ida Pardoe. She was married to Barry F. Crawford for 46 years until his passing on April 22, 2015.
Marilyn attended Lewisburg Schools and graduated from the Lewisburg Area Joint Senior High School in 1965
She was employed by Cole’s Hardware of Lewisburg and worked as a buyer for toys and giftware, immediately following high school. She was then employed by JPM Company of Lewisburg as a supervisor of inspection, and followed by The United Methodist Homes of Lewisburg, later named Riverwoods, as a Supervisor of Environmental Services retiring in 2006. While at Riverwoods, Marilyn also served the Nursing Department as a Unit Coordinator and at Ridgecrest, the independent living facility, as a receptionist.
Marilyn and her husband Barry owned and operated Crawford and Crawford Security Consultants from 1994 to 2002; they provided a specialized team approach to security and body guard details for Christian Ministries and large Christian events.
She was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, NASCAR and Indy Car Racing. Also, she collected dolls, lion and lamb figurines, and Clydesdale horse memorabilia. She was a member of the former Maranatha Praise Center, Harleton, where she served as a treasurer and was also a member of the Board of Director’s.
Surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Diane Pardoe, and a nephew, Gavin Pardoe, all of Lewisburg.
As per Marilyn’s requests services and burial will at the convenience of the family in Harmony Cemetery, Milton.
