Margaret DeWitt Obituary

Margaret B. “Sis” DeWitt, 74, of West Milton, passed away at home peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.

Born October 15, 1945 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Elizabeth M. (Martin) Emerick.  On January 3, 1981 she married Robert A. DeWitt and they have celebrated 39 years of marriage.

She was a wonderful baker and cook, and was always willing to give her time to help another.

Surviving besides her husband is a step-son, Robert DeWitt, Jr. and his wife Marisol and a step-daughter, Michelle A. Varvel and her husband Jay, all of Muncy; several step-grandchildren; three brothers: Joseph, Gene, and Richard “Dick” Emerick; three sisters: Helen Reed, Katharine Frame, and Donna Moyer; a special niece, Jeannie Long and great-niece Mattea; and several other nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were three brothers: John, Theodore “Butch”, and Robert Emerick and a sister, Patricia Long.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home, 124 Main Street, Watsontown.
