Lois C. (Masser) Hook

Lois C. Hook, 89, formerly of Allenwood, passed away, Friday, March 1, 2024 at Watsontown Health & Rehabilitation Center, Watsontown.

Born March 31, 1934 in Allenwood, she was a daughter of the late Walter and E. Mildred (Kratzer) Masser. On November 30, 1957 she married Kenneth Hook, and together they celebrated 46 years of marriage until his passing in 2004.

Lois was a graduate of Watsontown High School. Throughout her life, Lois worked at Montgomery Mills, Frito-Lay, Grumman’s, and retired from Kellogg’s.

She was a member of Clinton Baptist Church, Montgomery. Lois enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing games, and traveling with her sisters.

She is survived by brothers, James Masser of Milton, David, Daniel, and Joe Masser, all of Allenwood; a sister, Elsie Benfer of Allenwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lois was preceded in death by her brothers, Vernon, Andy, Jerry, and Walter, Jr. “Buddy” Masser; and sisters, Shirley Harer, Joyce Latshaw, and Polly Cameron.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10-11AM on Thursday, March 7 at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc. PC, 124 Main Street, Watsontown where a funeral service will be held at 11:00AM with her pastor, Rev. David Jacobs, officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
