Linda "Lindy" (Kocher) Huff

With profound sadness, Linda “Lindy” Huff 75 years old of Danville PA passed away Friday, April 21, 2023 peacefully in her home.  She was born 3/24/48 and raised in Bloomsburg, class of 1966.  Daughter of the late Doyle “Dee Dee” Kocher.

Linda was a dedicated mother first and foremost, she treasured her children and embraced every moment with them.  She especially loved her role as Nanny. She was the coolest mom not only to her kids but all of their friends.  She was known to them as Mommy Linda.  She was referred to as so many things: Mommy Linda, Grammy Linda, Nanny, Mommy, Lindy.  She was the most selfless person that would do anything for anyone anytime no matter what, she was always the hero.

She had a larger than life personality and the life of the party often referred to as the energizer bunny.   She loved to cook and you could always find her in the kitchen, her secret ingredients were sugar and butter and lots of it. She was most famous for her coleslaw, otherwise known as Lindy’s Slaw.    She made cooking an entire Thanksgiving dinner look easy and welcomed everyone to come.  Everyone would come and just wait for the left overs they even brought their own containers hoping for extras, especially her brothers!  She made friends everywhere she went.  She was always on the go.  If someone she knew said they were going on a trip she wanted to be packed in the suit case and if they said yes, she would go! She loved to travel especially cruising and her family vacation to Ocean City, MD.  She was a nut, every time she would do something crazy or funny, the response from most everyone was always “Oh Lindy”.

Boy did she like to talk, told you every detail of every story beginning to end, over and over.  Whether you needed directions or not, she was sure to tell you how to get there! 

Survived by her husband, Randy Huff, together for 35 years.  Daughters Kristi Alfonso (Alex), Julie Reedy (Tom), Son Michael Huff (Kristy), 4 Grandsons Blaine & Preston Reedy and Abel & Finley Huff.  Granddaughter Whitney Ey, Two brothers Ed “Fast Eddie” Kocher (Charlotte) Bobby “The Coke” Kocher (Darlene) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Father in law, George Huff.

Preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Clark Kocher and daughter Michelle Huff.
