Kay (Bickhart) Roberts

Kay Roberts, 76, of Danville, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2022 with her family by her side at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born September 16, 1946 in Montgomery, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Roberta M. (Beaver) Bickhart.  On June 6, 1968 she married Larry A. Roberts and they have celebrated 54 years of marriage. 

She was a 1964 graduate of Warrior Run High School and a 1967 graduate of the former Robert Packer School of Nursing in Sayre.  She was a Registered Nurse and had worked at Evangelical Community Hospital and later at Geisinger Medical Center for 41 years until retiring in 2005.

A life-long member of Watsontown Baptist Church, she held the longest membership of anyone there. She was a member of the Washingtonville Volunteer Fire Company and served on the Derry Township Board of Elections for many years.  She enjoyed camping with her family, crocheting, knitting, and gardening.

Surviving is her husband, Larry A. Roberts; a son, James E. Roberts and his wife Jessica of Limestoneville; a daughter, Laurie K. Beck and her husband Ronald of Painted Post, NY; four grandchildren: Ashley, Katelyn, Colton, and Tyler; and a sister, Sharon Fisher and her husband Jack of Allenwood.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory may be made to either Washingtonville Fire Co., PO Box 180, Washingtonville, PA 17884 or Watsontown Baptist Church, 501 Main Street, Watsontown, PA 17777.
