Judith L. Herald, 77, of Watsontown, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, December 8, 2023 at her home.
Born April 1, 1946 in St. Augustine, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Allen L. Reeser and E. Jane (McCormick) Brouse and her husband Kenneth. On October 16, 1965 she married Robert A. Herald and together they celebrated 34 years of marriage until his passing January 6, 2000.
A 1964 graduate of Warrior Run High School, she had been employed as a secretary for Attorney Wayne Patton of Watsontown, and later retired from the CSIU in Montandon.
She was a member of several area card clubs, the Watsontown Lioness Club, and the West Branch Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and took great pride in her home. She enjoyed going to see trains with her grandson, Connor, and cooking together with her granddaughter, McKenna.
Surviving are her three daughters: Jennifer L. Herald of Northumberland; Rebecca Jane Schwartz and her husband Geoffrey of Maryland; and Melissa A. Gorman and her husband Edward of Watsontown; two grandchildren: Connor Rodgers and McKenna Jane Schwartz; and a brother, David L. Reeser of Elmira, NY.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at the Watsontown Cemetery. Officiating will be Josh Wallace.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Judy's name to either The Two Sisters Toy Drive or The Carl Reed Christmas Program.
