Joan E. (Crawford) Fox

Joan E. Fox, 82, of Watsontown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Milton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 15, 1938 in Delaware Twp., Northumberland Co., she was the daughter of the late Gerald R. and Dorothy (Smith) Crawford.  On October 19, 1959, she married Joseph R. Fox and together they celebrated 50 years of marriage until his passing on December 20, 2009.

She had worked and retired from West Company after 50 years.  Joan enjoyed blue grass and gospel music, and loved playing bingo.

Joan loved her family and greatly enjoyed all the family gatherings, and taught them all a great work ethic.  She enjoyed Sunday breakfast with family and was known for her great sense of humor.

She is survived by her three children:  Pamela Buffington and her husband Edward, of Milton, Jeffrey Fox, of Watsontown, and Gary Fox and his wife Sheila, of Watsontown; three grandchildren: Michael (Jaclyn), Andrew (Kristy) and Christy Seese; one step-grandson: Tim (Leah) Peoples; nine great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Joyce Smith and Janet Gass.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald, Harold, and James Crawford.

Family and friends are invited to call from Noon to 1 pm on Saturday, March 20th, at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Michael Reece, Delaware Run Wesleyan Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in Delaware Run Cemetery, Watsontown.
