Joan R. Ehrlich, 78, of Watsontown, formerly of McAlisterville, passed away on May 15, 2022 at her home.
Born August 26, 1943 in Dallas, Oregon, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Grace (Johnston) Carey. On May 29, 1966 she married Donald F. Ehrlich and together they would have celebrated 56 years of marriage.
She was a graduate of Laurelwood SDA Academy and attended Walla Walla University
She completed LPN school at Portland Adventist Hospital. She worked as a nurse for 35 years in OR, MI, & PA.
Her main life pursuit was to share her love and faith in Jesus Christ. She and her husband Donald served in gospel ministry for 24 years in eleven different churches in Pennsylvania. She especially wanted children to know God personally and to be excited about heaven and eternal life. She loved to play piano music and became a church pianist at 10 years of age. She was constantly praising the Lord and loving people. Her family and church members adored and admired her.
In addition to her husband, Donald, she is survived by one son: John F. Ehrlich, of Silver Spring, MD; one daughter: Deborah A. Spencer and her husband William, of Watsontown; two grandchildren: Diana (Jason) Geise, and Brian A. (Emily) Spencer; three great-grandchildren: Carson Geise, Mayzie Spencer, and Jettson Spencer; and one brother: Roy Carey and his wife Loleta, of Salem, OR.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Mifflintown Seventh-day Adventist Church, 23547 Rte. 35 N, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
