Jean E. Gordner, 83, of Turbotville, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Thursday, February 20, 2020.
Born June 21, 1936 in Muncy, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Maybelle (Brown) Myers. On May 23, 1957 she married Gilbert E. Gordner and they have celebrated 62 years of marriage.
She retired from Montgomery Mills and was a member of Delaware Run Wesleyan Church, Watsontown.
Jean enjoyed flowers and quilting, watching soccer, wrestling, field hockey and dirt-track races, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, LaRue "Mike" Gordner and his wife Marlene of Watsontown; a daughter, Susan K. Wertman and her husband Daniel of Muncy; five grandchildren: Danny and Heith Wertman and Michelle, Eric and Wayne Gordner; twelve great-grandchildren: Cody, Emily, Michael, and Peyton Wertman; Tori, Brianna, Weston, Braxton, Dalton, and Brie Gordner, and Katie and Justin Derr; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and five sisters: Naomi Gordner and Sandy Moser, both of Hughesville; Beatrice Snyder, Elsie Guyer, and Velma Flick, all of Watsontown.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Raymond and Sam Gordner; two grandchildren: Ann Derr and Jonathan Gordner; four brothers: Lewis, Glenn, Emery, and Kenneth Myers and a sister, Irma Robbins.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, February 24, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc, PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville where a funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon with the Rev. Michael C. Reece, her pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
