Janet M. Napp, 77, of Milton, peacefully passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026 surrounded by family at home.
Born July 20, 1948 in Lewisburg, she was a daughter of the late Blair and Grace (Bennett) Finck. She married George Napp, Sr. and together they celebrated 57 joyous years of marriage.
Janet was a graduate of Milton High School. She worked and later retired from American Home Foods.
She was a member of Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton. Janet loved being able to sit on the porch, listening to the birds, and admiring the beauty of her flowers. She was a master gardener, who had a special talent for knowing exactly how to plan out her garden designs and what kind of décor to add, giving it her signature touch.
Janet had a way of making each holiday feel extra special. She decorated festively, overfilled Easter baskets that were personalized to each recipient, and cherished having all the family together in her home for Christmas. She baked heaps of cookies and pies, “sprinkling extra love into them” for everyone to share.
Above all else, Janet treasured being a Nana. She took the time to have special connections with each of her grandchildren, sitting on the porch with Alyssa and playing with her on the playground; baking pies with Olivia, especially apple; and playing Noah’s Ark with Jackson when he was young. Nothing brought her more joy than family.
In addition to her husband, Janet is survived by a son, George Napp, Jr. and his wife, Michele Betts; daughter, Amanda Fanning and her husband, Christopher; three grandchildren, Alyssa (Joshua) Miller, Olivia Tanaka-Kekai, and Jackson Manner; great-grandson, JB Miller; sister, Kathy (Frank) Shearer; and her best friend, Donna McKee Brown.
There will be a visitation held from 10 to 11 AM on Saturday, June 13th at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 124 Main Street, Watsontown, where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, New Columbia.
