Jack A. Mincemoyer

Jack A. Mincemoyer, 81, formerly of Turbotville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at UPMC - Muncy Place.

Born October 29, 1944 in Muncy he was a son of the late Harold and Olive (Betz) Mincemoyer.  On September 19, 1964 he married the former Ellen "Vickie" Zarr and together they celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Jack was a 1962 graduate of Warrior Run High School.  He worked at various local car dealerships in the parts department, starting at Hackenberg Chevrolet, then going to Carl Haga Chevrolet and most recently working at Eck's Garage in Muncy.  Jack was a former member of St. John's (Musser Lane) Lutheran Church where he served as usher and on the church council; recently he was a member of Mooresburg Presbyterian Church.

He was very involved in the local community previously serving on the Turbotville Borough Council and the Turbotville Area Community Hall board.  Jack loved going to car shows, looking at antique cars, and working on various cars.  He also enjoyed doing his yard work, watching car races, and going to local dances with his wife, Vickie.  Most of all he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.

In addition to his wife, Vickie, he is survived by his two children: Tina Applegate and her husband Tom, and Todd Mincemoyer;  two grandsons:  Jason Applegate and his wife Brianne, and Derek Applegate and his wife, Amanda; five great-grandchildren: Braxton, Camden, Jackson, Emarie, and Olivia Applegate; one sister: JoAnn Phillips; and a sister-in-law: Dottie Ramer.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a great-grandchild: Adelaide Applegate; and brother: Dick Mincemoyer.

There will be a private graveside service held in Delaware Run Cemetery, Watsontown.
