Howard D. Sayman

Howard D. Sayman, 74, of Muncy, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 at UPMC – Muncy Valley Hospital.

Born on January 24, 1946, in New Albany, he was the son of the Frederick V. Sr. and Rosa A. (Silverstrim) Sayman.  On May 14, 2005, he married the former Trudy Ann Hartman and together they celebrated 15 years of marriage.

Howard served honorably during the Vietnam War.  He was a lifetime member of Turbotville VFW Post 8206, a member of the American Legion Post 0182 in Lewisburg and the Forty and Eight Club Local 903.  He was a Teamster of Local 401.

Also, he was a member of Keystone Sportsmen Club, Rocky Mt. Elk Foundation, NRA and of Highland Lake.  He was a guide for the Upper Canyon Outfitters of Montana.

In addition to his wife, Trudy, he is survived by his four children:  Terri Gates and her husband Stanley, of Meshoppen, Tammy Mies and her husband Bob, of Old Forge, Lori Sayman and her companion William Boldgett, of Muncy, and Dominick Draper and his wife Tammy, of Hughesville; twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandkids.  Also, survived by Trudy’s children: Bob Commodore Jr., of Nescopeck, Vincent Commodore, of Catawissa, Bethany Benware and her husband Joe, of Catawissa, and Samantha Jo Ann DeAngelo, and her fiancée Robbie Johnson, of Turbotville, eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers: Frederick Sayman Jr. and Irvin Sayman; and sisters: Betty Chapman, Esther Keeney, and Delores Cox.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
