Gloria J. (Lenig) Persun

Gloria J. Persun, 75, of Watsontown, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024 at Geisinger, Muncy.

Born February 7, 1949 in Sunbury, she was a daughter of the late Marlin F. and Dorothy J. (Marks) Lenig. On March 13, 1976 she married Charles K. “Ken” Persun, and together they celebrated 41 years of marriage until his passing in 2018.

Gloria was a 1967 graduate of Shikellamy High School and Electronic Computer Programming Institute, of Harrisburg. She retired from Geisinger Medical Center in 2013 after 43 years.

She was a former member of the Watsontown United Methodist Church where she helped in the Beacon Sunday School class. She also organized and stayed very active with the special needs dances at the church, which continue today at the Kingdom Kidz building in Watsontown.

Gloria is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Gloria was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather L. Persun, and brothers, Terry and Dale Lenig.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from noon to 1:00PM on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Svc, PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville where the funeral service will be held at 1:00PM with personal friend, Tedd A. Brungard, officiating.  Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
