Gerald L. "Jerry" Ulmer, 74, of Turbotville, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at UPMC Williamsport Hospital.
Born January 8, 1951 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Pierson and Dettiebelle (Westbrook) Ulmer. On December 27, 2000 he married the former Angela M. Yocum and together they celebrated 24 years of marriage.
Jerry was a 1969 graduate of Montoursville High School and served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at IA Construction and later for Trumble Construction.
He was a member of the Turbotville VFW Post 8206. Jerry enjoyed wood working, mowing grass, and being a general handyman. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Angela, he is survived by one son: Gerald Joseph Ulmer, of Washington DC; one daughter: Julie Brewer and her companion Dave Fry, of Elimsport; three step-sons: Charles Kepner, of Watsontown, Matthew Kepner, of North Carolina, and Ronald Kepner and his wife Jennifer, of California; five grandchildren: Matthew, Wayne Jr, Blake, Harris, and Katie Brewer; two step-grandchildren: Hailey and Hayden Kepner; three great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Emily, and Levi Brewer; one brother: Roger Ulmer and his wife Crissie, of Colorado; two sisters: Marline Pepperman and her husband Don, of Montoursville, and Karen Harding and her husband Tony, of Williamsport; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Sara Nicole Ulmer; and brother: Keith Ulmer.
There will be a viewing held from Noon to 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville.
