Gerald R. Royer

Gerald Richard Royer, 91, of Limestone Twp., passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.

Born August 11, 1934 in Turbot Twp., Northumberland Co., he was a son of the late LaRue and Dorothy (Hottenstein) Royer.  On August 29, 1958 he married the former Betty Jane Ellis and together they have celebrated 67 years of marriage.

Gerald was a 1953 graduate of Milton High School, and served his country honorably in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He was the former owner of Royer Quarry.  Gerald was a life member of Paradise United Church of Christ, Milton.

In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by one brother: Donald Royer, of Milton; and two sisters: Shirley (Herbert) Shannon, of Mifflinville, and Sharon (Barry) Laubacher, of Milton.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a step-mother, Esther Royer.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 am on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am with his pastor, Rev. Doug Schader, officiating.  Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations in his memory be made to his church, Paradise UCC, 8105 Paradise Rd, Milton, PA 17847.
