George Sauers Obituary
George J. Sauers, 78, of Liberty Twp., Montour Co., passed away on March 8, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born May 21, 1943 in Pottsville, he was the son of the late George J. and Catherine (Dalton) Sauers. At the age of 8 he moved to Danville, where he was raised by his aunt and uncle, Bill and Catherine Mertz. On October 27, 1983 he married the former Suk Cha Bang, and together they celebrated 39 years of marriage.
George served honorably in the US Army for over 20 years. He also worked and retired from Merck Pharmaceuticals in Danville. He was a member of the Turbotville VFW Post 8206 since 1986.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Beverly Caruso, of Port Carbon, PA.
Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Washingtonville Lutheran Cemetery.
