Fay L. (Taggart) Snyder Polk

Fay L. (Taggart) Snyder Polk, 77, of Muncy, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026 at home, with family by her side.

Born June 25, 1948 in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late George B. Taggart and Kenneth E. and Arla M. (Gottschall) Haynes. Earlier in life, she married Daniel Snyder, of Hughesville. On December 8, 1974 she married Elmer Polk and together they shared 42 years of marriage until his passing in 2017.

Fay was a 1966 graduate of Hughesville High School. She was a member of Hughesville Friends Church.

Fay is survived by two daughters, Joyce Snyder, of New Jersey and Linda Hendershot and her husband, Audie, of Muncy; two grandsons, Derek Steckowich, of Hughesville, and Nicholas Steckowich, of Muncy; three step-granddaughters; a step-grandson; two great-grandsons; eight step-grandchildren; and two sisters, Shirley Glidewell, of Picture Rocks, and Sandra Taggart, of Williamsport.

Besides her parents and husband, Fay was preceded in death by a sister, Doris King.

A visitation will be held Friday, May 22, 2026 from 10 to 11 AM at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mark Messner, Millville Christian Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park.
