Elvira "Barry" A. (Showers) Moser

Elvira A. “Barry” Moser, 82, of Milton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 8, 2025 surrounded by family, at home.

Born August 22, 1943 in Milton, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Rachael (Matrey) Showers. On November 5, 1960 she married Thornton “Sonny” Moser, and together they have celebrated 65 years of marriage.

Barry attended Milton schools. She worked at several local post offices as a clerk, was a teller at Commonwealth Bank in Watsontown, and worked in the cafeteria at Warrior Run Middle School.

She was a faithful and active member at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, where she served in many ways.

In addition to her husband, Sonny, Barry is survived by two children, Molly L. Moser, of Watsontown, and Mark W. Moser and his wife Sheila, of McEwensville; two grandsons, Zachary C. Moser and his wife, Caity, of Watsontown, and Jonathan W. Moser, of McEwensville; a great-grandson, Eli C. Moser, and many nieces and nephews.

Barry was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul, Robert “Pete,” Ken “Walter,” and Carl Showers; sisters, Ruth Sieg, Patricia Balliet, Emma Jane Buck, and Tony Showers; as well as many aunts and uncles.

There will be a visitation held from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, November, 14 and from 10 to 11 AM on Saturday, November 15 at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 10275 State Rte. 44, Watsontown, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, with her pastor, Rev. Donald Snyder, officiating.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory be made to her church, Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 6, Turbotville, PA 17772.
