Earl B. Truckenmiller

Earl B. Truckenmiller, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026 at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.

Born October 10, 1932 in rural Watsontown, he was a son of the late Ward W. and Thelma (Brown) Truckenmiller.

Earl was a 1950 graduate of Watsontown High School.  He served honorably in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.  Earl received a bachelors degree in 1959 from Shippensburg University and later received a master's degree in education from Temple University.  He taught business education in Susquehanna Township for over 33 years. He loved teaching and encouraged many to pursue careers in education. 

He was a member of American Legion Post #323 and Watsontown Masonic Lodge #401, achieving the 70-year award. Earl was a very active member of the YMCA and PSEA. He was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church, Watsontown, and active in St. Michael's Lutheran, Harrisburg.  Most of all he loved his entire family.

He is survived by his sister, Natalie Teufel, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his three brothers: Donald, Robert, and Fred Truckenmiller; and three sisters: Betty Bower, Gladys Klapp, and Myra Cunningham.

A Masonic service will be held before the viewing at 11 am to noon on Wednesday, June 17th at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 207 Broadway St, Turbotville. A funeral service will be held at noon, with his nephew, Pastor Tim Truckenmiller, officiating.  Burial will follow in Watsontown Cemetery, with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers donations in Earls memory can be made to either First Lutheran Church, Watsontown or to St. Michael's Lutheran, Harrisburg.
