Donna Joanna (McCormick) Taylor

Donna Joanna Taylor, of Elimsport, Pennsylvania, was called home early Sunday morning, September 15, 2024 to be with her Lord and Savior.   After a courageous battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully at her home with her husband, Tom, by her side.  

Born May 13, 1947 to Leona (late) and Keith McCormick, Donna entered the world with a big smile and a loving heart.  She was always the life of the party, never had a bad word for anyone and would just smile when a confrontation occurred.  She will be sadly missed.   Anyone who knew Donna was privileged to hear what a beautiful voice she had.   We know that her heavenly journey, no doubt, has her now singing with the angels in Heaven. 

After graduating from Montgomery Area High School in 1965, she attended flight administration school in Kansas City, KS.   She then pursued her 37 year career at Sprout-Waldron, now Andritz.   

She married Tom, her high school sweetheart, in 1969.   Together they had two children, Tara and Keith, who she adored.   

Donna is survived by her father, Keith McCormick from Elimsport, her husband, Tom, a brother Dennis (Kathy) McCormick from Virginia and children Tara (Bill) Rank from Montgomery and Keith Taylor from Elimsport.   

She adored her grandchildren, Brein (Brandon) Behrer from Port Matilda and Corrine Bartlett from Montgomery.   She was blessed with three great grandchildren Conner, Brooke and Lauren Behrer from Port Matilda. 

Donna is survived by four sister-in-laws (where a void will be felt on their sister's trips) and their spouses; along with numerous nieces, aunt, nephews and cousins.  

Donna was extremely active in her church and their choir, McEwensville Garden Club, Relay for Life Family Team, past member of Theta Iota Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, Andritz Quarter Century Club, Blood Mobile volunteer and an avid Penn State fan.   Donna loved to travel, taking her to many places accompanied by family and her dear friends. She enjoyed gardening, time by the pond and spending time with friends and family.   

There will be a viewing held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 22 at Elimsport United Methodist Church, 16145 PA-44, Allenwood, PA 17810, where a memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM with Pastor David Shultz officiating.   

Everyone is invited to the Elimsport United Methodist Church Social Hall after the service for light refreshments and fellowship.
