Donald E. Weaver, 91, of Watsontown, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025 at Oak Glen Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lewisburg.
Born October 26 1933 in Danville, he was a son of the late William A. Weaver, and Dorothy Spitler and her husband Paul R. Snyder. On May 9, 1953 he married the former Aladean Fritz, and together they celebrated 72 years of marriage.
Don was a 1951 graduate of Watsontown High School. He was drafted into the US Army and served in the 173rd Division of the Army Band in Fort Dix, New Jersey. Don worked and retired from American Home Foods after over 40 years.
He was a life member of the Watsontown American Legion Post 323, and recently received the first lifetime service award for 60 years of service and dedication. Don was a member and elder at First Presbyterian Church, Watsontown, where he also was in the church choir. He also played in the Watsontown Centennial and Williamsport Consistory Teteques Bands.
Don was also a life member of the Warrior Run Fire Department, member of the Watsontown Masonic Lodge 401, WR Royal Arch Chapter 246, and the Watsontown Lions Club.
In addition to his wife, Aladean, he is survived by his two children: Brad Weaver and his wife Lorna, of California, and Maedean Kramer and her husband Daniel, of New Jersey; seven grandchildren: Bryan, Daniel, Amanda, Kye, Katlynn, Ali, and Emma; five great-grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law: Sue Weaver, of Hawaii, and Lore Weaver, of Oklahoma.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons: Lt. Col. Scott E. Weaver and Jeffrey Weaver; and one brother: William "Bill" Weaver.
Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Lewisburg Cemetery.
