Donald E. Merrell

Donald E. Merrell, 75, of Turbotville, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at home.

Born September 12, 1950 in Turbotville, he was a son of the late Hardie and Thelma (Hoffman) Merrell. On October 9, 1971 he married the former Sharon D. Williammee and together they celebrated 54 years of marriage until her passing in January 2026.

Don was a 1968 graduate of Warrior Run High School. He worked at Chef Boyardee, Milton as an electrician. 

He was a former member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Turbotville. Don loved his cats, playing disc golf, watching tv, and camping, and traveling with his wife, Sharon. He enjoyed being a Republican.

Don is survived by a son, Bryan E. Merrell; a daughter, Amy C. Merrell; and a brother, Randall Merrell and his wife, Cheryl of Turbotville.

In addition to his parents and wife, Don was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis W. and Marlin E. Merrell.
