Debra E. (Gooderham) Hayes

Debra E. Hayes, 72 of Danville, formerly of Shelburne, NH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Emmanuel Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Danville.

Born December 15, 1953 in Shamokin, she was a daughter of the late Wilber B. and Esther May (Derk) Gooderham.  She was married to Rodney Hayes for over 30 years until his passing on February 18, 2013.

Deb was a graduate of Shamokin Area High School, and she worked as the town clerk in Shelburne, New Hampshire.  She was a former member of Berlin Seventh-day Adventist Church in New Hampshire.  Her and her husband were very involved in the local community serving as a 4-H leader.

She enjoyed reading, needlework, quilting, and sewing in her free time.

Deb is survived by her three sisters: Diane Knorr, Linda Dent and her husband Dennis, and Judith Gooderham; one niece: Kate Elizabeth Knorr; and a great-niece: Anne Elizabeth Neely.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
