Dale E. Sechler was born on February 22, 1954 and passed away on March 18, 2021 of an apparent heart attack at the age of 67.
He was the son of the late George S. Sechler and Elizabeth (Tanner) Sechler and brother to Joyce P. Sechler of Monterey, CA. He is the uncle of Talal F. Melhem (who has two children: Kareem and Stephanie) of Roseville, CA.
Dale wore many career hats over the years from big rig driver, steel worker, PA House cabinet-maker, Movie Rental manager, Wal-Mart (Shamokin) builder and employee. He earned a bartender's award for his invention: Praying Mantis while living in Chicago and also drove an airport limo in Chicago to name but a few. Dale was an excellent cook, had a great sense of humor and loved people. Unfortunately, he contracted a crippling disease, Agoraphobia, which restricted his ability to leave the house. He was an avid trivia pursuiter and loved watching Netflix and his DVDs. He will be missed for his many kindnesses and loving nature. We are truly blessed and thankful for the love and care by Karen Kitt and his other caregivers.
Due to COVID-19, Dale will be cremated now and later, when it is COVID safe, we will have a memorial and graveside service at the family plot in Montandon Cemetery, Montandon, PA.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Svc, PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville. To send a condolence or share a memory with Dale's family, please visit www.wfbrooksfuneralhome.com
