Cloyd L. Sones

Cloyd L. Sones, 71, of rural Watsontown, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 at UPMC-Williamsport where he was a medical patient.

Born April 18, 1949 in Muncy Creek Twp., Lycoming County, he was the son of the late Carl H. and Leona P. (Brown) Sones.  On February 25, 1966 he married the former Sandra A. Nixon and they have celebrated 54 years of marriage.

He retired as Plant Superintendent from IA Construction where he had worked over 25 years, and currently owned and operated Keystone Paving.  He enjoyed farming.

Surviving besides his wife, Sandra Sones at home are three sons:  Michael L. Sones and his companion Jennifer Agoni of Turbotville; Scott A. Sones and his wife Paula of Virginia Beach, VA; and Jason L. Sones and his companion Lisa Faganno of Watsontown; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Yonkin and two brothers, Delbert and Oliver Sones.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 6 to 8 PM at Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Svc, PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville.  A private graveside service will be held  at Pine Center Cemetery, Millville.
