Charlotte A. Menges, 82, of Lewis Twp., Watsontown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Riverview Manor, Lewisburg.
Born July 31, 1943 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Calvin W. and Helen L. (Russell) Menges.
She was a 1961 graduate of Warrior Run High School, where she was the school's majorette. Charlotte then graduated from Lock Haven University in 1965 and later from Temple University where she received a Master's in Education. She taught and retired from Upper Merion School District after 22 years.
Charlotte was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Turbotville. She enjoyed a healthy lifestyle especially walking, reading, and being outdoors. As an adult she took ballet classes.
She is survived by her two brothers: Ted R. Menges, and Harris E. Menges and his wife Deborah, all of Watsontown; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Shirley Menges.
There will be a viewing held from 11 am to Noon, on Wednesday, May 20, at Zion Lutheran Church, 39 Paradise Street, Turbotville, where a funeral service will begin at Noon, with her pastor, Rev. Erwin C. Roux, officiating. Burial will follow in Turbotville Cemetery.
