Charles M. "Charlie" Egli, Sr.

Charles M. "Charlie" Egli, Sr., 71, of Clarkstown, passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 at UPMC, Williamsport where he was a medical patient.

Born April 17, 1948 in Muncy, he was the son of Lawrence O. Egli of Hughesville and the late Mary A. (Nickles) Egli.  On May 18, 1973 he married the former Donna M. Snyder and they have celebrated 46 years of marriage.

He was a 1968 graduate of Muncy High School where he was a member of the Future Farmers of America.  He retired from Bowersox Trucking Co. and had worked at the former Bryfogle's, Muncy and had worked at the Lycoming County Fair for over twenty years.  He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and yard work and landscaping around his home, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving besides his father and wife, Donna Egli, are three children:  Charles M. Egli, Jr. and his wife Linda; Tina M. Snyder, and Candy M. Bigger and her husband Scott, all of Hughesville; five grandchildren: Dale, Nina, Courtney, Dakota, and Jayden; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death besides his mother was a grandson, Thomas "Lee" Winder, Jr. who died Nov. 12, 2016.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Michael C. Reece, pastor of Delaware Run Wesleyan Church, Watsontown, officiating.  Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery.
