Carl A. “Butch” Heiss, 81, of Turbotville, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at his home.
Born March 22, 1939 in Danville, he was the son of the late George J. and Doris (Magill) Heiss.
On December 22, 1962 he married the former Faith L. Love and they have celebrated 57 years of marriage.
He was a 1957 graduate of Danville High School and served four years in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed by Sears and Roebuck for over 50 years until retiring.
Carl served as President of the Turbotville Fire Company for 25 years, was a member of the Turbotville Lions Club for ten years, and a PIAA official for over 31 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite, Williamsport.
Surviving besides his wife, Faith Heiss, are a son and daughter: Heath D. Heiss of Turbotville and Heather H. Albertson and her husband Carl of Danville; and four grandchildren: Quinn, Tatum, Trey, and Gabrielle.
Preceding him in death besides his parents were two sisters: Imogene Herrman and Carol Kishbaugh.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville where full military honors will be accorded by combined veteran organizations. Following the graveside service, from 2 to 4 PM, everyone is invited to 108 King Street, Turbotville to celebrate Carl's life. Please bring your own chair.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions in his memory be made to the Turbotville Lions Club.
