Bonnie L. (Frank) Carey

Bonnie L. Carey, 76, of Allenwood, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024, peacefully surrounded by family at home.

Born October 5, 1948 in Hazelton, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Elizabeth (Wagner) Frank. On July 31, 1964 she married James J. Carey and they have celebrated 60 years of marriage.

A homemaker all her married life, Bonnie enjoyed crafting, sewing, attending auctions and camping. She was very artistic, making clothes for family, and stained-glass art. Most of all, Bonnie loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, James of Allenwood, Bonnie is survived by four daughters, Lori B. Dyer and her husband, Rick, Watsontown; Colette A. Hickman and her husband Troy, Watsontown; Holly L. Carey Moore and her husband, Timothy, Lock Haven; and Gwen L. Carey and her companion, Gary Simonson, Drums; eight grandchildren, Cody (Melissa) Hickman, Kaitlynn (Steven) Uhler, Karrie Hickman, Catherine Dyer, Nicholas Moore, Christopher Dyer, Noel Moore, and Joseph (Alexia) Moore; four great-grandchildren, Ava Adams, Arianna Braxton, Caroline Uhler, and Daphne Hickman; her beloved cat, Pixie, and grandpuppy, Sadie.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 3 to 4PM on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Svc, PC, 124 Main Street, Watsontown where a memorial service will be held at 4:00PM with Chaplain Sam Astin, officiating.  Burial in Green Lawn Memorial Park will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory be made to LAPS (Lycoming Animal Protection Society), 630 Wildwood Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
