Betty Lou (DeWald) Sampsell

Betty Lou Sampsell, 92, of Milton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Centre Care Nursing Home, Bellefonte.

Born January 11, 1933 in Turbotville, she was a daughter of the late George W. DeWald and Helen M. (Rovenolt) DeWald Criswell.   On May 22, 1964 she married Earl S. Sampsell and celebrated 37 years of marriage until his passing on June 2, 2001.

Betty Lou was a graduate of Milton High School and after graduation she worked a Bell Telephone for over 47 years.  She was an avid Penn State Fan and enjoyed sewing and quilting.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, Betty Lou was preceded in death by her four sisters: Alice E. DeWald, Catherine L Finn, Shirley M. Derr, and Inez H. Stirone.

Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Harmony Cemetery, Milton.
